Process Engineer III

Description:
|
Under limited supervision with a broad scope of responsibility, performs complex activities for the development and implementation of process techniques in electronics assembly/manufacturing. Develops or modifies process formulations, definitions of standard processing, and equipment requirements and specifications. Reviews processing techniques and methods used in the manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation of PCB assembly. Reviews product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Recommends and prepares changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate manufacturing. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. Programs automated equipment, to include PnP machinery and AOIs. Conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new approaches and concepts in processing engineering. Interface with Sales Department to provide job cost analysis. May provide work leadership and training to lower level professional staff. Typically requires Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 3-5 years experience in PCB Contract Manufacturing/Assembly; will accept an associates or technical degree with five to seven years rexperience in PCB Contract Manufacturing. Prior experience with CAD/CAM, Circuit CAM or similar types of automated design software is required.
